ShopMy Review Why I Switched From LTK And How It’s Already Paying Off
Sep 04, 2025If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’ve used LTK (LikeToKnow.it) for years to monetize my content. But a couple weeks ago I signed up for ShopMy in the name of research… and I’m honestly blown away by how much I love this platform.
Within three days of joining, I had two brands offer to gift me products, I moved up to Ambassador status, and I’m already on track to hit Trendsetter status. Oh, and they send you cash bonuses on top of commissions. That did not happen for me with LTK.
This is my full ShopMy review after diving in headfirst. I’ll cover how ShopMy works, the main differences from LTK, and why I think it’s one of the best influencer monetization tools out there right now.
What Is ShopMy?
ShopMy is a platform that lets creators share affiliate links, build curated storefronts, and monetize recommendations. Think of it like having your own online boutique that organizes everything you love: fashion, home, beauty, even non-commissionable links, so your audience can shop directly.
Followers click, shop, and you earn a commission. Simple. But here’s where ShopMy stands out:
-
No follower minimum to join (anyone can start).
-
Higher commission rates with certain brands (I’ve seen up to 30%).
-
Weekly payouts (yes, weekly!).
-
The ability to add any link, affiliate or not, to your storefront (so you can still support small businesses!)
-
Exclusive perk: the ability to generate discount codes for your audience (something LTK doesn’t offer).
If you’re a creator and want to join ShopMy, you can use my referral link here for a fast-tracked application approval.
My Experience Switching From LTK vs ShopMy
I’m not new to affiliate marketing. I’ve been linking products on LTK for years and it’s been a cornerstone of my income, I’ve made over $200,000 on the platform alone, gone to LTK Con, met the team in person, and work with brands through their internal portal a few times a year.
My links still generate thousands of clicks every single week and are still earning me passive revenue.
So I’m not leaving LTK behind, it’s still an important piece of my strategy. But ShopMy feels fresh, more intuitive, and better aligned with the way creators work today.
I literally just joined this week and already feel like I'm making more money on ShopMy.
What surprised me most was how quickly ShopMy delivered results. Within days, brands were reaching out to gift me products, I hit Ambassador status in three days, and I’m already closing in on Trendsetter. That momentum made me feel like ShopMy is actively invested in helping creators succeed.
ShopMy vs. LTK: Which Is Better?
Here’s my honest take after using both extensively.
ShopMy Wins On
-
Accessibility: no follower minimums (anyone can join).
-
Flexibility: add any link, including coupon codes and blog posts.
-
Catalog: their product search on desktop is cleaner and more intuitive than LTK.
-
Discounts: I can create unique discount codes for my audience.
-
Bonuses: cash incentives for activity and growth.
-
Brand access: many new and emerging brands are joining ShopMy first, not LTK.
LTK Wins On
-
Scale: I’ve earned over $200k there, and it still drives thousands of clicks weekly.
-
Legacy: brands and shoppers are familiar with the platform.
-
Events: LTK Con was a great way to connect with their team and community.
-
Link Grabber: their widget is significantly faster than ShopMy’s, which I still prefer for quick linking.
Verdict: For me, this isn’t about picking one. It’s about using both strategically. I’m leaning more on ShopMy right now because of the momentum, brand connections, and fresh features, but I’ll continue updating my LTK since it’s still a proven revenue stream.
How Commissions And Bonuses Work
When someone clicks a link on your ShopMy storefront and makes a purchase, you earn a commission from the retailer (at no extra cost to the shopper). Commissions vary by brand, but I’ve seen much higher percentages than LTK in certain categories.
Plus, it's easy to see what ShopMY brands have partnered with the platform to give creators extra commission rates, while LTK sort of hides that information.
On top of that, ShopMy offers tiered creator levels: Starter, Ambassador, and Trendsetter. As you move up, you unlock perks like higher bonuses, better gifting opportunities, and access to exclusive brand campaigns.
I hit Ambassador in just three days. At this rate, Trendsetter is around the corner.
Why I Recommend ShopMy To Other Creators
Here’s the bottom line of my ShopMy review: I wish I had joined sooner.
The platform is intuitive, the commissions are competitive, and the opportunities for gifting and bonuses make it genuinely fun to use. It’s one of the few creator tools where I feel like I’m gaining more than just a new dashboard, I’m gaining visibility and connections with brands.
If you’re a creator who:
- Is frustrated with LTK’s follower minimums,
- Wants to monetize without feeling boxed in,
- Loves the idea of organizing links into a sleek storefront,
- Or wants to share discount codes with your audience…
Then ShopMy is 100% worth signing up for.
I’ll keep updating this post as I unlock new features (Trendsetter, here I come!), but for now, ShopMy has earned a permanent spot in my influencer toolkit.
My Final Thoughts About ShopMy For Creators
At the end of the day, affiliate income is about building passive revenue streams while doing what you already do: sharing things you genuinely love. For me, ShopMy makes that process a little more fun, more rewarding, and more exciting than LTK ever has.
LTK has largely been stuck in the past, the UX hasn't changed much since I joined circa 2016. ShopMy is easy to use, more and more people are shopping over there and is a no-brainer to start adopting into my content creator business. I don't plan on fully switching over, but I do plan on using both moving forward.
If you’ve been on the fence, let this be your sign: try ShopMy. Even if you’re brand-new to influencing, you can start today.
